Meet Team Talent …

Team Talent is a committed team of DBS checked volunteers led by Vicky Vaughan of The Brand Surgery. Each month, Team Talent have worked very hard to ensure that Talent Within You members learn by enjoying. Read more about the people who make up the magic of Talent Within You, below …

The photo was taken at McLaren Automotive who are offering a minimum of two paid internships OR work experience for Talent Within You members. McLaren have been amazing to work with and ensured that our McLaren workshop made a dream come true for our members.

Toby Wilson, Youth Engagement Officer: Toby has been our resident compère and has also put most of our fun activities together; he adds a burst of energy and passion to all our workshops. However, Toby also has a serious side and is a wealth of knowledge on health and safety aspects related to our workshops.

Denise Wye, volunteer: Denise is a committed volunteer and has been brilliant in recruiting more volunteers for our monthly workshops. Denise has attended most of our workshops and assists our members in completing their journals which are required for internship applications. Denise’s daughter is a regular member of our talent workshops.

Paul Yallop: Camelia Botnar partner and driver: Paul very kindly drove our volunteers to McLaren in Woking in the Camelia Botnar bus! We are also in discussions with Paul about scholarship opportunities at Camelia Botnar Foundation.

Vicky Vaughan, Founder and leader: Vicky originally founded Talent Within You in 2008 and relaunched it again this year. She is a qualified coach, branding expert and now a qualified first aider! She has been working on attracting scholarships (Glendale Theatre Arts), internships and work experience, (McLaren Automotive), inspirational speakers, sponsorship, creating fun activities and colourful workbooks to inspire our members and boost their mental health.

Andria Walton, Project administrator: 99% of the inspiring and motivational quotes you read on Instagram and Facebook are created by Andria. Andria is also the lady who checks all our members in and out of each workshop. She also communicates with the schools and our members to keep our workshops planted firmly in the minds of Worthing and beyond. She is also a backbone of support to Vicky the founder and they frequently speak to ensure the workshops run like clockwork.

Dr Stephen Milliam, scientist, horticulturalist and youth expert: Steve is a lecturer at Brinsbury College and has been working with teenagers for many years. Steve has been a boost of support from day one and is hands-on help at each workshop which has been critical to our workshop success. Steve is also leading our planting at Workshop 6 and had great input into our Trust workshop.

Rebekah French, CV expert and energy bubble: Rebekah is a wealth of information and always adds to our brainstorming activities. Her logistical brain has been very useful in ensuring that our workshops run smoothly and that all of our speakers and sponsors are looked after. If Rebekah was a confectionary product, she would be a packet of refreshers (in Vicky’s opinion).

Terry Monnery, coach and project manager: Terry was unable to join us for our McLaren trip, but he has been a backbone of support through all workshops to date. Terry is a project manager and a coach and helps Vicky develop the process for some of her more ‘creative’ ideas. What more can we ask for?

Kate Henwood, our amazing photographer: Kate Henwood is not in the photo above because she is behind the camera. Kate is much more than our photographer, she has been part of our workshops from day one, offering suggestions and ensuring our members are happy at each workshops.
